Mendocino Coast Community and Educational Television, serving the Mendocino Coast since 1983. MCCET is the gatekeeper for local access television for the Mendocino Coast. Areas served include Ten Mile, Cleone, Fort Bragg, Caspar, Mendocino, Little River & Albion. MCCET began as a joint powers agreement between seven governmental and educational organizations. Each organization appoints a representative to the MCCET Board of Directors.
Over the years MCCET has provided our community with varied programs. Keeping the public informed through broadcasting public meetings...Fort Bragg City Council, The Oil Hearings, Planning Commission, Hospital District Board, Botanical Gardens, School Board, League of Women Voters to name but a few. Books in Print, The Arts Channel, keep our minds active and entertained. College of the Redwoods has provided on-air classes through its distance learning program. The recent addition of the Annenberg Programs through digital satellite downlink are usefull to educators and just plain folk who want to know more about our world and the people in it. We cannot leave out the many fine local producers who have aired their work on MCCET TV3 covering everything from Paul Bunyan Days, Rock and Mineral Shows, Environmental Concerns, Real Estate, to various Entertainment Programs.
