The cable franchise agreement with Adelphia is up for renewal and MCCET along with the other Local Access Channels in Mendocino County are participating in the process of acquiring funding as part of the franchise agreement with Adelphia, City of Fort Bragg and Mendocino County. This would mean that Local Access Cable would able to provide better programming and production facilities for that programming. Check back here for more on the latest in this process.

The Future of MCCET-Your Station, Your Vision, Your Voice

The future of MCCET is in the balance. It will not survive without funding. The refranchise agreement now in negotiation should provide a significant portion of MCCETs financial needs. But MCCET also needs a percentage of the cable franchise fees that the city and county get from Adelphia. A show of community support will help convince city and county officials to provide this support for MCCET.

Latest Update on the MCCET Auction
Our thanks to all who helped make our 20th Annual MCCET Auction a great success. Our thanks and appreciation to all the Businesses and Services who donated the items/services for all the spirited bidders to bid on. Our special thanks to our viewers who helped support their local access television by viewing and bidding. Thanks, also, go out to all the many volunteers who helped make the on-air auction possible. Events

• MCCET covers many regular government and community boards of both live and to tape for broadcast. MCCET also videos local events such as Paul Bunyan Days in Fort Bragg.

  • Fort Bragg City Council Meetings-regularly on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at Town Hall.

  • Fort Bragg Planning Commission-second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

  • Fort Bragg Unified School District Board Meetings-second Thursday of each month.

  • Mendocino Coast District Hospital Board-Live to tape. Cablecast the last Tuesday of each month.
